Short summary
As a World Heritage site, the deterioration and scientific conservation of Beijing’s Temple of Heaven Park have drawn wide attention. This study is the first to investigate the biodeterioration of its marble relics in detail, using a novel statistical method to quantitatively analyze the biological communities. The findings provide key scientific support and effective strategies for preserving marble heritage.
